Process Diagnostics Engineer (Remote)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The primary purpose of the Remote Process Diagnostics Engineer (RPDE) is to improve safety, quality, cost, and the environmental footprint of manufacturing by enabling technical resources to better identify, troubleshoot, and evaluate process problems using remotely available process data. The RPDE uses analytical data systems resulting in robust models of process behaviors. These are developed in conjunction with regional and plant technical resources in an iterative way to provide the most useful and effective data.

The RDPE will support these initiatives by working with subject matter experts, operations team members, and engineers to define, source, and display data in contextualized and easy to access ways.

This role is expected to engage in regular communication to operations teams as part of routine process monitoring to ensure optimum performance. They will also communicate with GIS and other teams to connect relevant data and help maintain the quality of it in our digital tools. To be successful, it will be critical for the RPDE to influence the behavior of others in Operations and Science and Technology roles.
